About
After designing the technology and operations for public school choice systems with administrators at the New York City Department of Education and at Boston Public Schools, our principals realized the following:
- Many school districts want to implement or update their enrollment and school choice systems.
- It is difficult to design an efficient, transparent, and equitable school choice system - market design, operational, and other technical expertise is necessary.
- A group of professionals with exactly those expertise, functioning as a nonprofit organization, could be of great service to school districts, and therefore also to people and to their communities.
We decided to form this nonprofit organization.
The Institute for Innovation in Public School Choice (IIPSC) supports school districts as they design and implement school choice systems. We bring the latest market design research and state of the art technology to solve school choice problems. We are a federally approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our team includes the former Director of Admissions Operations from the New York City Department of Education, economics professors at Harvard, MIT, and Duke Universities.
We can help you design and implement a school choice system that is:
